Centre Francophone de Toronto offers mental health therapy/ counseling services for individuals, couples and families, and therapeutic groups in French for Francophones aged 18 and over. Services are free and confidential.

Centre Francophone de Toronto welcomes referrals from family physicians, other services in the Ontario community, and self-referrals.

Counseling and Therapy

The Centre offers individual, couple or family counseling for 16-session therapy or counseling sessions. Our interventions are organized in different activities:

  • psychosocial assessment and mental health needs analysis
  • definition of objectives and treatment plan or support
  • references and service coordination


Brief therapy focuses on a client-specific issue, based on focused assessment, client engagement, and rapid implementation of change strategies.

Examples of issues that can be supported by our services:

  • interpersonal conflicts (family or professional)
  • management of emotions (anger, fear, sadness)
  • professional burnout and moral harassment
  • domestic violence and psychological abuse
  • difficulties resulting from separations and divorces
  • support for people with chronic illness
  • loss and bereavement (death of a loved one)
  • anxiety, stress, and depression
  • culture shock and integration challenges for experienced by immigrants
  • professional mourning and retraining

Group Therapy

Group therapy is offered based on the needs of mental health clients.
